WebAug 17, 2024 · Just like the Creality CR-6 SE, the CR-10 Smart relies on a strain sensor to detect the small movements when the nozzle touches the bed. With this sensor, the nozzle acts like a probe and allows the printer to be leveled automatically. When you start the leveling process, the nozzle heats up to 120C and starts probing the bed in 16 points. WebAdding a glass or metal layer to your bed would also eliminate your problem. Another item to check is the Z axis limit switch. If you can lower or adjust the switch enough, it may solve your problem. Software solutions for your situation are to set a Z offset or update your firmware to use mesh bed leveling.

WebFirstly, Creality need to enable more precise bed levelling features on the touchscreen. As good as their auto-levelling is, the Z-axis offset needed to be different in different areas of my print bed for it to work properly - I now know this after a piece of plastic has been baked into the heated bed while on the other side it was printing fine.

(The paper should drag on push as well as on pull, but you should be able to move it both ways.)
